A little about us

Having attended car and truck shows for nearly 10 years, Todd Weld decided
that it was time someone created a little bit of a different flavor in the apparel that
was sold at these shows. Todd always enjoyed the humor that went with the
shirts that were currently being sold, but somehow the graphics and designs
seemed a touch overdone, or even "cartoonish" in some senses. (Which is a
wonderful concept, but remember that variety is the spice of life.) After all, you
love pizza but can you eat a pepperoni pizza every day for the rest of your life?

After taking a long look at what was available for the true automotive nut to wear,
Todd came up with the idea of GearHead GearTM. This was a line of t-shirts that
had a bit more adult humor, sarcasm, wit, and of course attitude included with it.
It was just enough to make you look twice, but not cringe, and almost always
laugh. The first few shirts were kept simple on purpose in hopes that clutter
didn't get in the way of the message.

Of course there are other designs that are in the works and almost ready for
release that still embrace the child in all of us. We're excited to announce that
the Uncle VitoTM line is almost ready for unveiling. Uncle Vito is, like a lot of us,
quite a character and has his hands into almost every area of car and truck
modifications. We think you'll like him as much as we do.

Since Todd is a creative genius, but not very artistic, he hooked up with an
invaluable member of the team, Nicole. These two clicked immediately when
they sat down to draw out some of the first designs with Nicole easily able to
reproduce what Todd described. Nicole says that what she does is easy and
that Todd's creativity is the driving force for the successful shirts, but Todd
maintains that without Nicole's graphic ability and support he would've never
been able to launch GearHead GearTM at all. Everyone else thinks it's their
teamwork and ability to understand each other (even if they get on each other's
nerves sometimes) that has made them successful.
